Introduction to AI:  FREE for all

Topic:  What Even IS AI? - A Hands-on STEM Workshop for Kids (Ages 5-11)

Overview:  Curious about how Siri talks, how YouTube recommends videos, or how self-driving cars work? In this fun and interactive 45-minute workshop, kids will be introduced to the world of Artificial Intelligence in a way that sparks imagination and builds confidence. Hosted by STEM4Change, this session breaks down complex tech concepts into playful activities, games, and creativity-driven challenges. Through hands-on learning, kids will “train” a pretend AI, design their own AI-powered invention, and learn how computers make smart decisions. No coding or tech experience needed — just curiosity and a love for learning! By the end, each participant will walk away with a better understanding of how the technology around them works — and maybe even be inspired to build it themselves.

NeuroAI: FREE for all

Topic:  NeuroAI: How Artificial Intelligence is Learning From the Brain (Ages 10-15)

Overview:  In this 60-minute online workshop, middle school students will explore the cutting-edge science of NeuroAI — the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and human health. Through real-world case studies, interactive simulations, and critical discussions, students will learn how scientists are building algorithms inspired by the brain, how machines are helping people move and think again, and what it means to blur the lines between biology and code. This isn’t just about future jobs — it’s about how technology is redefining what it means to be human.

Quantum Mechanics:  FREE for all

Topic:  Quantum What?! Exploring the Weird Science of Tiny Particles (Ages 7-11)

Overview:  In this STEM workshop, students will dive into the strange world of quantum mechanics — the science that explains how matter and energy behave on the tiniest scales. They’ll learn about mind-bending ideas like particles that can be in two places at once, mysterious connections called entanglement, and how just observing something can change what happens. Using interactive simulations and thought experiments, students will see why the rules of the quantum world are so different from what we experience every day — and why scientists still don’t have all the answers.
